Articulate was already established as one of the most respected communications agencies in the arts sphere when, founder and managing director, Kym Elphinstone launched The Golden Mean late 2017. A sister studio to Articulate destined to be a platform for creating storytelling and digital content for the arts. By generating content for clients as well as creating a bi-weekly snapshot of all things artful in the form of a curated newsletter.

A Newer Now’s role was to create a look and feel for ‘Accomplice’ to compliment the existing The Golden Mean branding, but breathe it’s own life. Once crafted this DNA was then infused into an EDM template that could adapt to the weekly communication needs of The Golden Mean team. A.N. N. consulted with The Golden Mean team on best-practices on optimising content to sit within the shell, as what use is a gallery space if the artwork that sits within it is not displayed properly? The outcome is a fortnightly newsletter that is flexible in it's sections, sitting comfortably as an equal, and not overshadowing or underwhelming, the artwork that it presents.

The bright side of branding

Articulate was already established as one of the most respected communications agencies in the arts sphere when founder and managing director, Kym Elphinstone, launched The Golden Mean. The purpose of this ‘sister studio’ is to create storytelling and digital content for the arts, along with creating a bi-weekly snapshot of all things artful in the form of a curated newsletter — 'Accomplice'.

A.N.  N.’s role was to create a look and feel for ‘Accomplice’ to compliment the existing The Golden Mean branding, whilst allowing it to breathe its own life. Once crafted, this DNA was then infused into an EDM template that could adapt to the weekly communication needs of The Golden Mean team. A.N. N. consulted with The Golden Mean team on best-practices to optimise content to sit within the shell, as what use is a gallery space if the artwork that sits within it is not displayed properly? The outcome is a fortnightly newsletter that is flexible in its sections, sitting comfortably as an equal, and not overshadowing or underwhelming, the artwork that it presents.

Each week it pops into our inbox we are incredibly pleased to see how well The Golden Mean team are curating this space, and we look forward to the next issue. You can see previous issues and subscribe to Accomplice here.

"We really liked working with Rowena at Anewernow because she actively listened to us to figure out what we wanted to say but was never afraid to tell us straight up when she disagreed with us. This helped us not only to repackage but also to rethink our value proposition. Creating the website and broader branding was a collaboration in the truest sense and we love the result. Thanks Rowena!"

Broken into 4 parts: Showcase, Arts Lowdown, Showing Now and Coming Soon. The Accomplice template can be modified to only include one section or all four, and is nimble enough to be moulded to suit The Golden Mean team's curation for the issue.
